Fort Pierce, FL (March 14, 2021) – On Saturday night, March 13, a man was killed in a pedestrian accident on a roadway in Fort Pierce.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of US-1. Two vehicles were traveling north at the time when they both struck a man who was in the inside lane of the road. The driver of the first vehicle told police that they did not notice him in time, while the second was unable to avoid the first collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene of the accident.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
