Apopka, FL – Car Accident on FL-436 at Wekiwa Springs Rd Intersection

Apopka, FL (June 16, 2021) – At 8 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, June 16, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Apopka.

According to Orange County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of FL-436 and Wekiwa Springs Road. Two or more vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other Orange County responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Three left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
