Orlando, FL (June 4, 2021) – At 6 a.m. on Friday morning, June 4, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred on a major roadway in Orlando.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on John Young Parkway around the area of Hunter’s Creek Boulevard. According to a witness, a vehicle was traveling in the area and struck a woman who was walking her dog. The driver then fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The woman and her dog were found deceased by paramedics when they arrived at the scene. Troopers were able to determine that she was in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Police confirmed that the white bumper from the vehicle was left at the scene. They are still trying to identify the vehicle and driver.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
