Merritt Island, FL – Car Accident at FL-520 & Banana River Dr Intersection

Merritt Island, FL (May 25, 2021) – At 4:44 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Merritt Island.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of FL-520 and Banana River Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other after entering the intersection. The vehicles were left with extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
